including wood and paperfibres. Emphasis on oxidative modifications including
TEMPO-mediated and enzymatic reactions.
With Chemconserve since 2004. Main responsibility: development of TEMPO and –derivatives
applications; new uses for carbohydrate materials.

of the Royal Dutch Academy of Arts and Sciences. Akzo research prize. Knight in the order
of the Nederlandse Leeuw 1992.
